How can you beat the peace and tranquility of
Lake
Petenwell on a calm day. 23,000 acres of excellent boating and
fishing waters. Most of the Lake Petenwell shoreline is controlled
by the Wisconsin River Power Company. and will remain as it is. The
lots that are available have a 100 foot setback and gives the lake a more
natural look. This sand bottom lake is great for swimming and even
Sailing. Water skiing is popular and the lake is large enough that
even jet skis are not a problem. Plenty of room for everyone to play
here.
Monroe Township, Wisconsin offers thousands of acres of paper
company land which is open to the public for hunting, hiking,
cross-country skiing and many other recreational uses. ATVs are
allowed to drive most of the public roads to get to the ATV trails.
Snowmobile trails also run along most roads. This is one of the only
areas of the county that allow this.
Kennedy Waters was the first of two a phase projected
that McKeough Land Company developed on Petenwell Lake.
Petenwell Landing was the second phase.
