3,000 acres of Wisconsin River Power Company Land.
Directly across the road from Crystal Brook Woods is approximately
3,000 acres of forest land which is open to the public for hunting,
hiking, and horse riding as well as cross country skiing. This
land is owned by the power company and should be a buffer from further
growth in the area for some time to come. If you need more
land than that you can drive about ten minutes to Necedah and get into
the Necedah Wildlife area. You will have Hundreds of thousands of
acres for hunting and other outdoor sports.
You will find deer and turkeys as well as many other
species of wildlife too numerous to mention. The Snowmobile and
ATV trails run along the road in this area and you will have many miles
of them. It's been said you can ride all the way to Canada from
here.
